Growing Up Aspen – Joiners Table Podcast
The idea of the joiners table came from the Wienerstube, one of Aspen’s last local morning hang outs. The “Stube,” as we called it, had a great big community table in the middle of its dining room. The table was meant for individuals who, rather than wait for a table, could eat with the locals and meet a few new folks. Back in the day this is where the haves and the have nots brushed elbows and discussed the issues of the day. The authors of Growing Up Aspen are keen to continue these discussions with a few folks we feel carry the true Aspen spirit and share our local banter with you.
